Big walks in a big country
Our treks range from one-day strolls with time for wildlife watching, to expeditions that circumnavigate the Lakes District, or take you out onto the wild Patagonian icecap.
To get to some of Argentina's most awe-inspiring scenery you need to pack a tent, crampons and axes, and your pioneering spirit.
Some of our most popular treks include:
Nahuel Huapi traverse
From beautiful bamboo forests, to frozen lagoons nestled under the gothic spires of the aptly named Cerro Catedral, this is a high and varied 5 day traverse, staying in rustic mountain refugios along the way.
In one of Patagonia's most remote corners is a forest of 4,000 year old giant cypresses. Here we make a gentle 2 day trek deep into a lost world, before being brought back by boat along the fjord-like arms of Lago Futalaufquen.
Mount Fitz Roy
Witness the dawn light breaking over one of the world's most famous mountains, and make an ascent of Cerro Electrico, for incomparable views over the Southern Patagonian Icecap and the Fitz Roy massif.
Trekking is the reason why many people come to Patagonia. And what's great, is that with so much to choose from, we can put together an itinerary that exactly suits your level and interests.
Whilst altitude isn't an issue in Patagonia, you need a reasonable level of fitness for longer treks, and must be prepared to carry your own equipment. The weather here is infamously unpredictable, and a sunny day may descend into a maelstrom of wind and water. But as long as you're properly equipped, this is part of the fun.
All treks are personally guided by one of us, especially because we revel in sharing our knowledge of the flora, fauna and geography of this unique landscape.
