See, it's not all hard work...
The longest and most varied mountain range in the world is also the least explored from a mountain biker’s perspective. But whether you're a pioneer or simply want a different view on the landscape, with time for sunbathing, we know myriad routes into the Andes.
Lower altitudes make cross-country riding a blast, rather than a lung-searing endurance test. If you’ve ever ridden in Bolivia, you'll know what we mean. You don’t need the fitness of an Inca warrior to have fun here.
What’s more, ski-lifts are now open in the summer, so there is plenty of scope to only ride downhill, from the snow covered peaks to the shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Or, maybe you’d prefer to take the high road to Chile, under the shadows of volcanoes. You might be lucky enough to get a push from the infamous Patagonian wind, and if not, most routes involve beautiful lake crossings that you can spend sitting on the deck of the ferry letting your legs unwind.
Our mountain bike trips can be self-guided - we'll give you the bikes and a map. Or you can go with a guide -or join a group trip for a day.
